About Me
The Intersection of Engineering and Documentation
My journey began with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, which provided the technical foundation for how I approach complex systems. However, my curiosity has always been rooted in technology and a long-held passion for writing.
I began my career by nurturing this interest in diverse environments—initially blogging for a social media firm, then transitioning into educational content creation. From there, I expanded my scope to craft soft skills and employee onboarding modules, focusing on how people learn and process information.
Over 10 years ago, I "switched lanes" to Technical Writing. This role finally bridged the gap between my engineering background and my creative drive. For the past decade, I have remained in this field because it perfectly marries my deep interest in technology with my passion for clear, impactful writing.
Professional Journey
Enterprise Experience
My experience spans major global players in the technology and fintech sectors, where I have managed complex documentation suites:
- Senior Technical Writer at NCR Atleos: Managing enterprise documentation suites by driving MadCap Flare and GitHub migrations, pioneering AI-agent workflows for automated QA and content generation, and contributing UX writing to product mockups under global brand standards.
- Technical Writing at Lionbridge (for HPE): Led global documentation initiatives for server hardware, software, and telecom solutions. Transformed legacy content into DITA XML compliance, mentored junior writers, and established rigorous quality standards that earned three excellence awards.
Current Focus: Next-Gen Documentation Architecture
Moving beyond traditional structured authoring like DITA XML and MadCap Flare, I am currently focusing on the intersection of docs-as-code methodologies and AI-agent driven optimizations to automate and streamline enterprise documentation workflows.
What I Bring to a Team
- Empathetic Collaboration: I pride myself on being a warm, approachable teammate who builds genuine rapport. I believe empathy is key to understanding user pain points and developer constraints alike.
- Conflict Resolution: I prefer an open, communicative approach to teamwork. When disagreements arise, I advocate for "talking it out" to find a balanced solution that serves the project and the team dynamic.
- Process Mindset: A focus on creating scalable, maintainable documentation systems rather than just one-off manuals.
- Adaptability: A proven track record of mastering new tools—from early-day Android rooting and custom ROMs to DITA XML and my current transition into MkDocs and Git-based workflows.
Beyond Documentation
When I am not structuring content or experimenting with static site generators, I am usually exploring other technical interests:
- Local LLMs & AI Tinkering: I am deeply interested in running local Large Language Models (LLMs) on my desktop setup. I love the hands-on process of benchmarking different models, understanding the advantages of various inference harnesses, and tweaking parameters to balance optimal token generation with lower memory consumption. It’s been incredibly fun leveraging these local tools alongside Google's AI suite to supercharge my workflow, craft my personal website, and hack away at side projects.
- Technology & Gadgets: I keep a close eye on the mobile ecosystem (currently using a Google Pixel 9 Pro). I also have a keen interest in the EV space (currently riding an Ather Rizta).
- PC Hardware & Gaming: I am a PC builder who prefers the precision of a keyboard and mouse over consoles. I take a hands-on approach to my setup, having personally sourced each component and assembled my current build by hand.
- Travel: I enjoy the logistical challenge of planning complex travel itineraries, from domestic regions like Sikkim and Pondicherry to international destinations like the Maldives.
